Paper Capsule is run by Paper Capsule. We keep as little as possible and never sell or share your data.

What we store

• Your email address, specialty, the description of your interests and how often you want Paper Capsule.
• Optional: first name, favourite journals, whether you're a healthcare professional.
• Which articles we sent you, your 👍/👎 ratings and comments, and the replies you send us.
• Whether you open an edition and which links you click, to measure if Paper Capsule is useful.
• When you signed up and confirmed (proof of your consent).

Where

• Our own computer in the Netherlands. The AI that picks your articles runs on it; your data is not sent to any AI company.
• Postmark (email delivery) and Cloudflare (secure connection to our website).
• Encrypted backups in EU cloud storage.

How long

• Unconfirmed signups are deleted after 7 days.
• After you unsubscribe, your data is deleted after 30 days.
• Reply "delete my data" to any Paper Capsule email; one click on the confirmation link we send deletes everything at once. Backups roll over within 6 months.
